Maria Fatima Ali is a Simulation Education Analyst at the Center for Innovation in Medical Education (CIME) at Aga Khan University Hospital (AKUH) in Karachi, Pakistan. Her current focus is on the introduction of novel and innovative training techniques to make learning both engaging and impactful, bridging the gap between innovation and accessibility for the healthcare professionals to produce allied health professionals not only well equipped with sound medical knowledge but also possess competent clinical skills and ultimately improve patient safety. She has fully invested herself in the growth of CIME along with garnering a reputation as a first of its kind in the region. Her undergraduate degree is in dental surgery, after which she has been trained in Regenerative Medicine and is currently enrolled in a Master’s program in Clinical Microbiology. She is an experienced researcher who has made her mark on the international plane with her participation at conferences in the United States as well as in Europe.
