Anthony Han is a second year medical student at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. He grew up in Arlington, Texas, and received his undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering from Washington University in Saint Louis. He got involved in SIMS during his first month of medical school and was hooked, seeing it as an incredible opportunity for students to “learn by doing” in a unique and memorable setting. He currently helps lead the SIMS Team at UT Southwestern. Additionally, in 2019, he founded a SIMS elective along with a few of his classmates, which has tripled SIMS participation among UTSW students. He hopes to extend his passion for SIMS to schools on the West Coast, guiding them in developing strong and lasting programs of their own. Anthony is interested in pursuing a career in emergency medicine. Outside of medicine, Anthony has practiced martial arts for most of his life, is an avid football fan, and enjoys spending time with the family dogs, Bailey and Duke.
